We can’t help but feeling immense pride and love for the ‘Millers Bread Kitchen’ local bunch, Tyler, Rebeca & Vanessa.
From seeing Tyler growing up as a kid in Red Hill to now witnessing the trio growing their business with great Zeal and love of food truly exciting.
Millers Bread Kitchen was born with a determination to bring fresh baked goods to the Mornington Peninsula. The MBK trio while working in the professional world, have always had deep love for food and people and dreamt of one day opening a cafe. Over the years the trio dabbled in markets and events, helping out friends catering and putting together big parties until the penny dropped… they’re bloody good at it, they love it so might as well make a living out of it…
In 2016 Tyler went to Tafe to formalise his knowledge and bread making skills and completed his apprenticeship with his long time mentor Scott Mcgee of The Artisan Crust Boulangerie. Tyler started making his beautiful bread in a small kitchen for Woolumbi Farm every Friday, customers cotton on to his hearty bread which was selling out every time, growing his confidence and furthering his baking skills to the level we know and love today.
2019 was the year the trio decided to bring the dreams and passion to life in their bakery in Dromana. We felt quite lucky to be filled in on their progress by the lovely Libby, Tyler’s mum and our long time customer. We then decided to approach MBK to supply us with their hearty pies and ready made meals, knowing no short cuts will ever be taken and having full confidence in their ever growing quality of their delicious food.
MBK are proud producers of high quality food without compromising their ethical standards, using nothing but free range meats and fresh local ingredients, continually experimenting with new flavours and combinations.
