How to pack the perfect picnic

Packing the perfect picnic is easy as 123.
Think cheese that won't melt quickly in the sun,
crunchy veg and something delicious to dip them into.
Something healthy, something decadent and lots of little things to snack on.

Picnic ingredients

Picnic For 2

  • 75g hard cheese – choose between Pecorino, Cheddar, Manchego or aged Gouda.
  • 75g not-too-soft cheese – choose a young Brie, Camembert or chevre. something soft and luscious yet holding its shape as the temperature warm up .
  • 1-2 tablespoon Quince paste
  •  100g Casalingo or any salami you like
  • 1 stick of Kabana – we love somerville butcher salami. pre cut into thin discs.
  • 100g Mortadella or smoked ham
  • 50-80g olive mix
  • 100g dip of your choice
  • Baguette / Crackers / Lavosh
  • Something to drink – Water/ Soft drink / Wine
  • Don’t forget cutlery, serviettes, lightweight unbreakable drinking cups

Family Picnic

Kids love nibbles, so lots of little things as well as hearty filled baguettes are the secret. Keep it simple and easy to eat with your hands. This one will last you for a day trip.

  • A small baguette /ciabatta filled with your favourite cheese, pesto and salami. one per person.
  • Small salads
  • Grissini
  • 500g cut vegetables (cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, celery)
  • Dip
  • 200g Olives
  • About 500g cut fruit
  • 500g grapes
  • Biscuits
  • Chips
  • Drinks – orange juice/water/wine
  • Don’t forget cutlery, serviettes, lightweight unbreakable drinking cups
